Celcom. Why do I choose Celcom? Because it is the oldest telco in Malaysia (established in 1988) with the widest and most extensive coverage. Be it the Eastern territories comprising Sabah and Sarawak or the Western peninsular where Singapore is neighboured by two causeways and numerous flight schedules, each time I turn on my mobile phone, there Celcom is.
But I'm what you would call a kiam siap (stingy) traveller. Even though I'm connected, I don't call home, SMS my parents or share interesting discoveries on social media because a call costs about S$0.40 per minute, a SMS about S$0.60 per message, and I don't even dare think how much data charges are. Worst if it is my Singaporean travelling companions trying to contact me. We'll both incur expensive roaming charges so I'd rather be lost and separated from them then to answer or dial them. I suspect I'm not the only cost sensitive traveller here :o)
While away from home, it's comforting to know I'm always connected to the people I love and who cares. |
The package comes with a 1-day free Wi-Fi access and full mobile broadband connection can be had for only RM5.00 per day. That's a fraction of the price that hotels charge for full-day internet access. Reloading of value is also made easy with over 10,000 outlets throughout Malaysia at major shopping malls, convenience stores, airports and tourist attractions. Home has now gotten closer while exploring Malaysia with Celcom!
Now I no longer have to stinge with sharing my experiences in Malaysia on-the-go with family, friends and colleagues :o)
This is a sponsored post to highlight the benefits and value of Celcom Traveller SIM but my prior experiences with the telco are authentic.
